Located in Flint Township just off the I-75 & I-69 interchange, Flintrock Guitar Shop was founded in 2008. This is a home based business that specializes in instrument and amplifier repair and hotrodding. Flintrock has done work for local and national bands as well as the studio or home musician. We generally don't advertise, and word of mouth keeps us busy. I usually offer quick turnaround, most times in just a few days unless I get backed up, and affordable rates, most often cheaper than places that have more overhead like a storefront. Feel free to call me if you need a repair made and always please CALL before you come out for an appointment because I do work out of my home. So why bring it to FGS? Honest service, affordable rates, quick turnaround, location, and attention to detail. I treat every instrument with care as if it were my own. Rest assured it is in good hands when you drop it off. It will look and play better than when you left it. If you don't see the service you require please call or email me and I will give you a quote.

AMPLIFIER REPAIR
-----------------------
Amps must be diagnosed before service is possible.
My flat rate for diagnosis is $35. That covers my time and labor and risk of being electrocuted and removing the amp from the chassis and testing of various components. This fee does not include the actual repair. Most amp repairs take 1-2 hours to complete billed at $30 per hour plus parts.
Cleaning - $40
Amplifier biasing - Top notch dead accurate biasing is done here.
We use multiple methods to make sure your tube amp is operating at its maximum efficiency.
The shop is oscilloscope equipped. Billed at $30 per hour.
It usually takes the shop about 1 1/2 hrs to properly bias an amp.
Failure to bias when changing your power tubes can result in less than adequate sound and meltdown!!
Amp mods also done here!
